Aurora Business IT Solutions Newsletter Issue 2 - March 13, 2008
A Message From Anthony

Welcome to the second edition of the Aurora Business IT Solutions Newsletter! In this edition, we show you how to get free hardware, service, and computers by referring us to other businesses. Further down, we'll help you find those programs that are hiding in the start menu and then we'll fix your toolbars after your kids/co-workers/pets have 'lost' them for you.

Your feedback is welcomed, please feel free to contact me directly at anthony@aurora-bits.com. Thank you for allowing us to take your business efficiency to new heights.

Yours in technology,
Anthony Wilkinson

Help Your Bottom Line by Helping Us Grow

Referral Program to Get Free StuffWe have created a new program to reward businesses who help us grow. Nearly every client we work with has been referred to us by a friend or business associate. You know who you are, and we cannot thank you enough.

Here's how it works:

  1. You tell somebody about our services and how they can contact us. Also tell them to mention your name or business.
  2. The referred business contacts us and we help meet their goals using technology.
  3. We track how much business you have referred to us, which you can redeem for things like routers, PCs, LCD displays and scheduled service.

Ever Had Trouble Finding a Program in Your Start Menu?
Sorting Start Menu Programs

Why not sort all of your programs alphabetically?

To sort items on your All Programs menu alphabetically:

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, and then right-click any folder or icon.
  2. On the shortcut menu, click Sort by Name.
Where is My Toolbar?

From Microsoft.com
A toolbar is a collection of buttons or icons—usually displayed across the top of the screen—that represents the different tasks you can do within a program. For example, in Microsoft Internet Explorer, there is a toolbar for the standard Internet Explorer command buttons, one for entering an Internet address, and one for quick links you can set up.

Many programs also have the toolbar settings under the top menu - go to View -> Toolbars.

Unlock a ToolbarTo unlock a toolbar:

  1. Right-click the toolbar.
  2. If Lock the Toolbars appears on the shortcut menu and is selected (a check mark appears to the left of it), click Lock the Toolbars to unlock the toolbar. If you see Lock the Toolbars, but no check mark appears to the left of it, the toolbar is already unlocked.

Moving a ToolbarTo move a toolbar:

  1. First, unlock the toolbar. You'll notice a row of "dots" at the left side of each tool bar.
  2. Now, move the mouse pointer to the row of "dots" on the tool bar you would like to move (the mouse curser will turn into a double headed arrow).
  3. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the tool bar to the desired location.

Once you’ve moved the toolbar to the location where you want it, select Lock the Toolbars so that it isn’t inadvertently moved. To make sure the change is permanent, lock the toolbar, exit the program, and then reopen it. The toolbar should be locked.
